We are looking for a Senior Procurement Partner to take on the strategic procurement responsibilities within the business-critical packaging categories. Given the nature of the packaging categories, it will be a key enabler category for Flügger to achieve its ambitious sustainability targets – in other words, this is a very high exposure category within Flügger.

Strategic Aspiration: Being the preferred choice of painters and quality-oriented consumers by offering sustainable and color-inspiring solutions:   
•    Flügger have ecolabels on +80% of our own produced paint products (+90% on Flügger branded products) and we won´t stop before we reach 100%!
•    Increased use of recycled plastic in our buckets.  
•    Focused efforts with Flügger’s suppliers, on sustainability topics such as recycled plastic innovation, take-back initiatives and circularity including reduce-reuse-recycle approach to reduce Co2 footprint and ensure other environmental benefits. 

 

As Senior Procurement Partner you will have responsibility of several large, strategic direct spend categories such as the categories of packaging (buckets, bags, labels etc.), and maybe other strategic categories that suit your capabilities. 

 

Your key responsibilities will be:
•    Drive and secure progress on sustainable packaging solutions, i.e. increased use of recycled plastic, innovative and future packaging requirements.  
•    Develop and implement supplier relations management with strategic focus on innovation, cost out & sustainability
•    Ensure resilient supply chains, with focus on security of supply and supplier quality
•    Market insights & supplier search and approval
•    Contracting and contract management 
•    Ensure competitive pricing and drive cost efficiency initiatives (Total Cost of Ownership approach)
•    Project and stakeholder management. 

 

You will join the Direct Procurement team and report to Senior Procurement Manager, Søren Vandsø Jacobsen and work closely with other colleagues in Procurement and stakeholders across the entire value chain including Product Management, Planning and directly with the production sites, which are an integral part of any packaging solutions.
Procurement in Flügger is anchored as a group function with direct reference to the CEO, working with strategic and operational procurement of both Direct spend, Indirect spend and Goods for Resale. 

Your profile

We expect you to have a strong business acumen and negotiation skills to secure sustainable cost optimization. We expect you to be result oriented with a strong drive. Additionally, we expect you to have an interest in packaging categories, raw materials, and technical flair, to work with internal stakeholders and suppliers on performance excellence.

 

Collaboration and communication skills are central. Additionally, we expect you to have:
•    Minimum of 5-10 years of experience with strategic procurement of direct spend, preferably from production companies and with packaging category experience. 
•    Strong project management skills and analytical skills
•    A Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or the like.
