Take part in the journey

As a student assistant in the Procurement team, you will assist our Procurement team in daily tasks related to supplier management, market research, and sustainability initiatives. You will gain valuable insights into procurement processes and strategic decision-making while contributing to Flügger’s sustainability journey. Your role will provide a combination of analytical and business-oriented tasks, allowing you to develop a strong foundation in procurement and responsible sourcing.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Helping to track and analyse procurement & sustainability metrics in procurement, herein updating monthly KPI’s for procurement, sustainability and product management 
  • Maintaining and updating market research data and analysis on industry trends, suppliers, and sustainable sourcing opportunities. Monthly update of market price development; oil, gas, freight. 
  • Supporting sustainability training and cross-functional sustainability projects. Assisting in developing training materials for both administrative and commercial staff. Assisting with updating sustainability slides, e.g. Format and combine slide decks from different sources and prepare decks based on specific subjects such as plastic. 
  • Assisting in supplier assessments, including sustainability evaluations and compliance checks 
  • Providing general administrative support to the procurement team 
  • Assisting with preparing tender materials, including gathering documentation for prequalification.  

Your profile

We are looking for a proactive and open-minded student who is eager to learn and contribute. To succeed in this role, you should: 

  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Sustainability, or a related field 
  • Have a strong interest in procurement, market analysis, and sustainability 
  • Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Be structured, detail-oriented, and able to work independently 
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams 
  • Be fluent in English (fluency in a Scandinavian language is an advantage) 
  • Experience within Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) is required and an interest in digital procurement tools such as Power BI is an advantage.
