Regulatory Affairs Manager with a passion for people leadership and product legislation
Flügger is a proud producer and retailer of paint with a strong legacy, quality products, skilled employees, and loyal customers. Our new strategy Flügger Organic is founded on sustainable production, products & packaging and with ambitious growth and optimization targets and with a strong digitalization agenda.
Are engagement, motivation and empowerment key words in your leadership style? Do you dream of leading and developing an international, highly specialized team working at the intersection of product legislation, voluntary eco-labels, and sustainability? If yes – and if you find purpose in turning complex chemical regulations into practical business solutions – then we have the job for you.
As Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager, you will lead an international team of experts within product legislation, eco-labelling, and product sustainability, ensuring that our portfolio remains compliant, competitive, and ready for the future. You will have hands on tasks where your regulatory knowledge comes into play.
Your purpose
You will be overall responsible for product legislation, voluntary schemes, and product sustainability for all Flügger’s wet products, tools, and accessories – whether own-produced, outsourced, or sourced. You’ll make sure we stay ahead of regulatory developments, deliver solid documentation, and meet customer expectations on sustainability data and declarations.
Your responsibilities
• Lead and develop the team – coach, train, and empower specialists in Regulatory Affairs and Product Sustainability
• Secure compliance – maintain systems for raw-material documentation, safety data sheets (SDS), label texts, and product registrations across all markets
• Manage voluntary and green-building schemes e.g. Ecolabel, DBNG etc.
• Sustain product sustainability data – manage LCA calculations, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), and declarations for customers and databases
• Horizon scanning & communication – monitor current and upcoming EU and non-EU legislation; ensure timely communication and guidance to business units
• Support projects involving new raw materials, formulations, or process improvements to secure compliance and sustainability alignment
• Stakeholder engagement – bridge Regulatory Affairs with Product Development, Product Management, Procurement, and Commercial teams; represent Flügger in CEPE and national paint associations.
What you bring
You bring solid experience from Regulatory Affairs within chemicals, coatings, building materials or a related industry. You excel at translating complex regulatory frameworks into practical, business-oriented solutions, and you are used to working closely with R&D, product management and commercial teams. Your approach is structured, analytical and proactive, and you communicate regulatory matters clearly and convincingly in English — ideally also in a Scandinavian language. Just as importantly, you thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment and contribute positively to the organization’s development.
What we offer
We offer an influential role with tangible impact on sustainability, innovation and market access. You will have the opportunity to shape Flügger’s regulatory setup and help define the compliance frameworks that support our future product portfolio. At Flügger, you will be part of a workplace defined by Scandinavian values such as transparency and trust, and you will collaborate with dedicated specialists across the organization. We offer attractive employment terms, flexibility and strong opportunities for personal and professional growth.
