About us
At Flügger, compliance is an integral part of how we operate across international markets. We ensure that our activities align with applicable regulations while supporting the business in a practical and efficient way.

Our team in Gdańsk work closely with HQ in Denmark. We value straightforward communication, ownership, and a pragmatic approach to getting things done.

About the role
This is a hands-on role focused primarily on sanctions and export control. You will work closely with the business, helping teams manage compliance requirements while still moving forward in a controlled and practical way.

This is not a purely policy-focused role. You will be involved in real decisions, real transactions, and cases where sound judgement and careful documentation are required.

You will report to Group General Counsel in Denmark but work day-to-day with teams based in Gdańsk.

What you will be doing

  • Screening customers, suppliers and transactions against sanctions and restricted party requirements
  • Reviewing export and trade compliance cases and assessing risks related to sanctions, embargoes and restricted parties
  • Supporting the business with clear, practical and commercially usable guidance
  • Flagging and escalating relevant cases
  • Maintaining appropriate case documentation and audit trail
  • Performing internal controls, compliance reviews and audits
  • Helping business teams understand what compliance means in their daily operations
  • Staying on top of regulatory changes and translating them into practical internal guidance
  • Performing training initiatives
  • Supporting with other ad hoc compliance matters where relevant

What we are looking for

  • Professional experience of 5-10 years
  • In depth understanding of international trade compliance, including sanctions and export related risk assessment
  • Highly skilled at applying regulations into specific business situations
  • Challenging decisions where relevant
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
  • Pragmatic and business oriented mindset
  • Fluent English – you will need to work comfortably in an international setup

What we offer

  • Employment contract with salary in the range of 13,000–17,000 PLN gross
  • Benefits package (sports card, medical care, life insurance, holiday subsidies, employee discounts, etc.)
  • Flat structure and direct communication
  • A team that works together, not just sits in the same org chart
  • Office in Gdańsk with comfortable private parking and our own canteen
