The Journey
Flügger is undergoing a significant transformation of its IT infrastructure and e-commerce platform. The goal is to modernize it with a Composable/MACH architecture. To achieve this objective, the company aims to establish an internal Development department in the upcoming year that will develop a range of microservices to support the core business and expand on the capabilities of our e-commerce platform.
Job Location
As a Poland-based team member, you'll enjoy the freedom to work remotely, complemented by the opportunity to connect in person at our Gdańsk and Copenhagen offices for key onboarding activities and collaborative project work. Please anticipate joining us on-site approximately 5-6 times a year for essential team gatherings and project-specific endeavours, enriching your remote work experience with valuable face-to-face interactions.
Your responsibilities
- Play a pivotal role in co-creating solution designs and shaping the overall architecture.
- Develop and maintain microservices to achieve the proposed architecture and functionality.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of microservices architecture.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and other team members to design, develop, test, and deploy microservices etc.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, retrospectives, and other stakeholder meetings to ensure quality solutions.
Your profile
- Experience with solution design, preferably in microservice architecture.
- Proven expertise in designing and developing scalable services, coupled with a readiness to lead and embrace critical business changes with the rest of the team.
- You are not afraid to take charge whenever necessary in order to get the project heading in the right direction.
- Skilled in Python, boasting a minimum of three years of professional experience or comparable expertise in similar programming languages.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- CI/CD experience would be beneficial.
- Understanding of design patterns and best practices for building scalable and maintainable microservices architectures.
- Experience working with Azure Cloud services or equivalent experience in AWS or Google Cloud.
- Expertise in managing the business aspects of development, including effective stakeholder engagement and communication.
